The youths with officials after the completion of the six-day training under Skill Training of Rural Youth held from November 30 to December 5 at DEF, Chuchuyimpang.

Mokokchung, December 5 (MExN): KVK Mokokchung organized six-day training under STRY (Skill Training of Rural Youth) in collaboration with SAMETI (State Agriculture Management and Extension Training Institute) and MANAGE (National Institute of Extension Management) from November 30 to December 5 at DEF, Chuchuyimpang.
The Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Mokokchung Dr Keviletsu Khate stated that the trainees were trained by Samuel Sangtam, ACTO (Agronomy) on vermicomposting, an important component of soil amendment to enhance soil fertility for every organic farmers.
The training covered various topics on vermicompost preparation and its avenues followed by practical demonstrations with the assistance of Technical Officers from KVK Mokokchung, Ilika Achumi and Moainla Longkumer.
Altogether 15 youths were trained with a full-fledged course along with inputs distribution. The six-day training concluded with certificate distribution and evaluation.
