Kohima, May 1 (MExN): A one-day capacity building programme for progressive farmers was organized by Krishi Vigyan Kendra Tesophenyu Kohima district for practicing farmers at K-station under Tseminyu Sub-division on April 30. Altogether 34 trainees attended the training programme. The programme began with an invocation by Khushali Kath. In the technical session, Zhiete, SMS (Soil Conservation), spoke on the topic “Reclamation of acidic soil”. While K. Michael Pienyu, SMS (Plant Protection), and Dr. Temjennungsang, SMS (Vety &AH), highlighted on the topic’s “Disease and pest management in banana orchard and dual purpose poultry farming”, respectively. Sesenlo Kath, Farm Manager, chaired the programme and Shilo Wanth pronounced vote of thanks. The training programme culminated with distribution of Lime to the participants.
