Recipients of Best Student Awards with officials

Kohima, November 18 (MExN): The Kohima Village Students Union (KVSU) hosted its 2nd Combined Children’s Day celebration with its Night School students on November 14 last.
The event, attended by approximately 150 students, was a resounding success, fostering a spirit of unity, recognition, and inspiration among the young minds.
The program recognized outstanding students for their dedication and hard work. The prestigious Best Student Awards were conferred upon Petekhrietuo Sachü (DSU), Keneisanuo Mere (PSU), Ketoukhrienuo Solo (TSU) and Kevisenuo Alina (LSU)
Each student received a special examination kit, encouraging them to continue striving for academic excellence.
The program was chaired by KVSU General Secretary Seluokuolie Albert Rutsa while KVSU president Vilalhou Sorhie pronounced invocation. The programme also witnessed special songs from Vivonuo Belho and exhortation by Kezhazolie Cornelius Mere.
The 2nd Combined Children’s Day celebration demonstrates KVSU’s unwavering commitment to promoting education, recognizing talent, and fostering community engagement. As the Union continues to empower young minds, it sets a shining example for educational initiatives in the region.
KVSU is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting education, cultural preservation, and community development among students from Kohima Village. Through initiatives like the Night School program, KVSU strives to create opportunities for underprivileged students, empowering them to become leaders of tomorrow.
Sachü Scholarship
The highlight of the event was the signing of a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between KVSU and Vikuonuo Sachü.
Sachü generously pledged to sponsor four students from each unit, significantly impacting the educational futures of many students.
Sachü was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation for her invaluable contributions through the Sachü Scholarship, benefiting deserving students.
The Union expressed heartfelt gratitude to Sachü for her dedication to education and invaluable support.
