Dimapur, April 23 (DIPR): L. Hotovi Village Baptist Church celebrated its Golden Jubilee on April 20 with Rev. Dr. Hevukhu Achumi, Executive Secretary, WSBAK, as the main speaker.
Exhorting the congregation, Rev. Hevuku termed jubilee as a holy occasion and a time to help, love and forgive one another for seeking God's continuous blessings now and in future too. "If Jubilee is not celebrated and received according to the will of God, curse and unfortunate times would befall, yet if the moment is embraced with unity and God's will, multiple blessings will be received," the Reverend reminded. When you are released from the bondage of sin you have to go out and witness to the world, he added. He delivered the word of God from Leviticus chapter 25.
Earlier Rev. Hevuku unveiled the Jubilee monolith in the church compound and released the jubilee souvenir. Marking the day, L. Hotovi village women made the occasion more colourful with folk song presentation while Toluvi Baptist church members presented a special song and enthralled the gathering.
Head GB Hotovi Yepthomi delivered the welcome note while President, Western Lithsami Union conveyed word of greetings. Associate Women Pastor, Kheholi said the offeratory prayer.
The jubilee programme was chaired by Lujeto Yeptho, Pastor LHGBA while vote of thanks was proposed by Vitokhu, Chairman, Jubilee Planning Board.
