Lab technicians of blood banks attend training

Dimapur, March 27 (MExN): The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society organized three days orientation training for laboratory technicians of blood banks in Nagaland on Basic Red Cell Serology and Blood Transfusion Techniques, at the Model Blood Bank, Dimapur from March 19 to 21.

A press note received here stated that the training of laboratory technicians aimed to improve the skills and knowledge and upgrade the blood transfusion service in a uniform manner across the state by providing an insight to make effective use of available resources and infrastructure.

The training imparted and strengthened technical knowledge and skills, solving immune-haematological problems, understanding the concept of quality assurance and role of blood transfusion in clinical practice, providing the basic training in the relevant aspects of blood transfusion and blood bank procedures.
