‘Lack of quality control will make projects a liability, not an asset’

Mokokchung, July 31 (DIPR): State Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, today inaugurated the Commissioner’s Rest House at Mokokchung. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the inauguration of the Commissioner’s Rest House is a significant and important landmark in the history of Mokokchung Town. Mokokchung Town is the most important district in Nagaland after the state’s capital town and, therefore, it should have the potential to accommodate not only the officers but all weary travellers, Rio said.

The Chief Minister admonished all the contractors in Nagaland to give importance to quality control in every construction project, stating that if we do not do so the projects would be just a liability and not an asset. Rio lauded the former and the present Commissioners, T N Mannen and H K Khulu, for their efforts and dedication in bringing the Commissioner’s Rest House in Mokokchung into reality, and added that this was also an achievement of the DAN government. He further asked the people of Mokokchung to maintain the Rest House in a proper manner and not misuse it.
