LADP fund strengthens health infrastructures in Mon dist

Mon, September 26 (MExN): Various initiatives were taken up in accordance with Government of Nagaland guidelines for earmarking LADP funds to strengthen health infrastructures and quarantine facilities to tide over the COVID-19 pandemic in Mon district. 

A Force Trax Ambulance funded under LADP 2020-21 was launched and handed over to HCMC PHC Angphang by EE Pangteang, MLA 48 Moka A/C. 

While launching the ambulance service, Pangteang said that the public of 48 Moka A/C will now access to “cheap” transportation to avail quality health services. He exhorted the health centre management committee for transparent and proper maintenance of the vehicle.

The programme was chaired by K Methnyei, Vice President, ASU, invocation pronounced by Rev E Pukong, Pastor NCRC, welcome address by P Shahoang, VCC Angphang, short speeches were delivered by Yanithung Ngullie, SDO (C) Angjangyang, Wanmei, Vice Chairman ATC Angjangyang, dedication of the ambulance by Yongyo Pastor.

Later in the day, a program was held at PHC Mopong for dedication of CBC analyzer and other hospital equipments funded under LADP 2020-21 and ILR fridge donated by World Vision.

The MLA in his speech lauded the contribution of Eleutheros Christian Society and Mopong Hongkong Students Union (MHSU) for adopting PHC Mopong. 

He stated that with the new machines and equipment being installed, the PHC Mopong will be able to deliver advanced health services to people of Mopong circle and nearby subdivisions. 

The programme was chaired by Dr Bendang, MO PHC Mopong, invocation was pronounced by women leader MTBC, welcome address by L Khole, MHSU, president, short speeches delivered by Yanithung Ngullie, SDO (C) Angjangyang and H Wangba, President, Mopong Hongkong Health Association, vote of thanks by Thangmei, Co-Chairman, HCMC PHC Mopong dedication of hospital equipments by Pastor MTBC.

The MLA also provided furniture to Angjangyang Quarantine centre and distributed infrared thermal scanner, sodium hypochlorite disinfectants, vitamin C, multivitamin tablets, locally produced face mask manufactured by Songkhe SHG, and hand gloves to all the village and Town Task Forces under 48 Moka A/C.
