Unlike other usual jubilee celebrations, the Lima Aier Higher Secondary School (LAHSS), Dimapur on Saturday celebrated its silver jubilee with rich religious fervour giving thanks to the Lord for sustaining the institution for the last 25 years.

“Right from the initial stages of planning, we had wished to make this event more of a spiritual celebration than a social occasion,” said Chairman, Governing Board, LAHSS, Dr. Maongwati Aier IAS. He said that the School wished to look back with gratefulness to God in its journey for the last 25 years.

“Over the past 25 years there were times when we were ‘knocked down’ but we were not ‘knocked out’ because we believe and accept that Jesus Christ is Lord and with this as our inspiration we will face the next 25 years with confidence,” he said.

Director of the School, Imtila Aier said that the school focuses on the all round development of the child without compromising on academic excellence. She pointed out that the School has been producing NBSE toppers for the last seven years and praised the Lord for the blessings bestowed upon the institution. “At one point of time, we almost gave up and was ready to sell off the School but we sought God’s help and He has been sustaining us all through these years,” she said. She said that the School envisions becoming a channel of blessings to all.

During the programme, Pastor Tony Johnson from New Delhi delivered the jubilee message while Rev. K.L. Gupta from Kolkata also exhorted the gathering.

Earlier, Rev. Robert Singh said the dedicatory prayer for the jubilee monolith which was unveiled by Yanger Aier brother of Late Lima Aier, founder of the School.
