Jalukie, June 23 (MExN): The Village Council Chairman of the Old Jalukie Village in a release has stated that any dispute arising within its jurisdiction should be settled within Peren District.
The Old Jalukie village jurisdiction comprises of – in the West from Teachau and Mongleu river upto Dhanshiri, in the East Nkwareu river upto Dhanshiri, in the North, Dhanshiri and in the South-Reket Banjang.
The council in the release has further cautioned that they will not be held responsible for any eventuality arising out of any land dispute settlement from other district.
Further, it has been learned that the Mongleu Mukh Village Council is trying to take up a land dispute case with the Jalukie Zangi Village Council to Dhanshiripar G.B.
However, the Jalukie Zangi Village Council has refused to attend the meeting which was slated to be held on Saturday, June 24, stating that the dispute should be settled within the Peren district as the land falls under the old Jalukie Village Council jurisdiction.
