Longleng, May 11 (DIPR): The monthly Longleng DPDB meeting for the month of May 2011 was held on May 6 in the DC’s conference Hall, Longleng. The meeting was chaired by SDO (C) Longleng, Shayung Phom in view of Deputy Commissioner & Vice Chairman DPDB official tour.
Department directed to check the matter
On the issue of land encroachment at Agri & Horticulture Department, the Chairman informed about a report of land encroachment by individual inside the land acquired for Agriculture & Horticulture department. In this regard the district Board directed the concerned department to check the matter with the help of District Administration. The board discussed the construction of Rest Camp at Chonglok (Bhamnyu Village) and agreed to take up the proposal to construct the Rest Camp under LADP common poll 2011-12.
Talking about the drainage blockage at Longleng Town, the board viewed the problem of drainage in the town and discussed seriously. The board entrusted the Town Advisory Board to point the portion and to report in the next meeting for execution. Meanwhile, the posting of District Fishery Officer was discussed in the house and recommended to the concerned high authority for smooth functioning of work/scheme in the District.
Further, the house reviewed the last meeting minutes such as posting of required teachers and other staffs and also for construction of staff’s quarters at the newly upgraded High Schools in Pongo, Nemching, Yaongyimchen, Kagching and Yongyah Village along with the DPDB recommendation.
