Mon, July 6 (MExN): Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Department of Land Resources, Y. Kikheto Sema (IAS) inaugurated the office building of the department’s District Project Officer, Mon on July 26.
In his address, Kikheto maintained that it depends upon the integrity of the officers and staff of the department in order to help and reach out to the farmers of the State.
While appreciating the timely completion of the constructions work of the office building, he urged the staff to be sincere and work as a team. He also noted that Land Resources Department is the nodal department in the State for rubber, coffee and tea plantation, and that Mon district has enough land for such plantation.
“Educate and train the farmers so that it will give a great relief in the economic scenario,” he appealed.
Shanavas, IAS, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mon, N. Kehie, Deputy Director & Supervisor Officer, and Hoto Yepto, Director, Land Resources Department also spoke at the function.
The programme was chaired by Biren Chetri, DPO, Land Resources Department, while dedicatory prayer was offered by Pastor Nahngom, Konyak Baptist Church Mon Town.
