DIMAPUR, MAY 25 (MExN): The Landowners and Patadars whose lands are under army occupation in Dimapur town held general meeting at Tourist Lodge on May 24 and discussed various issues and problems pertaining to army occupied.
The house unanimously resolved to cooperate with the new team of office bearers in matter of persuasion; and also decided to use legal support whenever necessary. 80 people attended the meeting as per attendance record, informed a press release from the forum’s President, K Thong and Secretary, Ajao Kense.
After the general meeting, a team from the forum held a meeting with the Dimapur DC. The forum informed the DC about the pending matter. The forum stated that they have been fighting for a long time and they want to finalize the matter. The DC and RO reportedly briefed the team about some difficulties regarding army occupied land. The team requested the DC to forward the matter to the Defence Ministry.
The forum team comprised of K Thong, President; Ajao Kense, Secretary; FP Solo, Advisor; Hocto Sema, Advisor; Vizolie Mepfuo, Executive Member; Dr LA Kikon, Executive Member; and Temsu Ao, Member.
