Wokha, June 6 (MExN): Travellers commuting along the National Highway 2 under Wokha district for medical and other emergencies have been advised to take an alternate route to avoid getting caught in traffic.
A traffic advisory to this effect was issued by Wokha Deputy Commissioner Orenthung Lotha on Monday, informing that a major landslide had occurred due to incessant rains between Chukitong Town and Doyang Bridge along NH 2 (97 +400). The DC informed that his office had also received a letter in this regard from Anusha Project Private Ltd on June 5, and as such, advised travellers to avoid taking the route as there will be a long queue of traffic due to the ongoing clearance of mud and rock debris. Further advisory on this will be issued shortly, the DC added.
