Landslide kills one person in Phek

A landslide caused damage to a house and resulted in the death of one person in Phek on October 26.

One person was killed when a retaining wall collapsed on a residential house at Phek town on Saturday.
Nagaland witnessed incessant rainfall for the last three days together, causing landslides in different parts of the state.
The deceased was identified as 29 years old Shekhozo Vese, son of Chekhunu Vese of Thenyizu village, residing in New Colony, Phek town. It is learnt that the deceased’s parents were also injured.
A District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Phek official informed The Morung Express that the incident occurred at 8:30pm and the body of the deceased was recovered by State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) at 10:30pm.
