Landslide renders three families homeless in Noklak 

Noklak, July 13 (MExN): Three families were left homeless by landslide that occurred on July 9 last around 1:30 am at Choklangan village in Noklak.

In a press release, the Choklangan Village Council (CVC) has acknowledged Arikumba, DC & Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority, Noklak and his team for the swift response and assistance provided to the families affected by the landslide. CVC Chairman, M Henung stated that the DC was accompanied by Menlom Phom, EAC Nokhu, DPA DDMA, DB, bodyguard and two drivers. 

He said that the team provided immediate response and comprehensive assistance on the same day of the disaster to the affected villagers by reaching the spot despites facing numerous problems on their way. “The team had to walk by foot around 5-6 km to reach the village as the road connecting the village was blocked by massive landslide in many locations,” the chairman said.
