Last date extended for DDCA registration

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 23 (MExN): Dimapur District cricket association further informs all registered cricket clubs under Dimapur District to renew their registration by paying fees of Rs1000 and Rs 2000 for new clubs. The DDCA president I. Pihoto further informed all clubs to also register their respective players with DDCA by paying fees of Rs 50 per player and filling up a bio data form. The registered player shall not be allowed to change their club for a span of one year   For renewal and registration please contact Timir Choudhary, Vijay Sharma and Avtar singh at DDCA office room no 9 at DDSC ground from 20 th August to 07th September 2011.

MDVA informs on Volleyball Trophy  

Mokokchung, August 23 (MExN): 6th Imchaba Master Memorial Nagaland Open Volleyball Trophy organized by the Mokokchung District Volleyball Association (MDVA) is scheduled to be held from September 13-15, 2011. Informing this in a press release received here today, the MDVA informed interested team that ‘Entry Form will be available at ‘Lim Counter’ at Kohima, Dimapur and Mokokchung.  The MDVA also informed that the Association will compensate ‘minimum traveling allowance to teams coming from outside Mokokchung district. Besides, the Association will also pay ‘compulsory participation grant of Rs 5000/- each except for the final four teams’.

NKKA fetes sportsperson

Kohima, August 23 (MExN): The Nagaland Kho-Kho Association (NKKA)  expressed gratitude to the state government for organizing the state sports award for the sportsperson who have earned a name in the national and international level on August 15 coincided with the Independence day at Raj Bhavan Kohima.  “This is truly an encouragement to the sports fraternity and a big moral boost to all the affiliated association of Nagaland Olympics Association” stated a release from NKKA President Vikehielie Victor.   The NKKA also congratulated all the recipients of the award especially Ms. Chekrovelu Swuro for her success in the international area and further wished her success to get selected in the Indian women team for the 2012 London Olympics.   Meanwhile the NKKA association also congratulated all the awardee on the occasion of the Independence day for the meritorious services and especially Dr. Pewezo Khalo MO, PHC Weziho Phek for being awarded the Governors Gold Medal.
