At last, a vehicle for Naga roads!

Chief Minister Niphiu Rio has on February 21, 2014 set on the roads of Nagaland a very fitting vehicle, Polaris, which “...are specially engineered to travel on rough and uneven roads...  These vehicles are capable to provide smooth drive even on rocky, slushy, desert and muddy surfaces” (Eastern Mirror, 22.02.2014).

I hope Government would sell these vehicles on heavy subsidy to poor people so that they too could travel comfortably undisturbed by the ground condition of the roads under their Polaris.  The Road & Bridges Minister could now distribute these vehicles to the people rather than spending huge amount of money for road repairs and comfortable save 1.20 crore or more, which money can enrich some pockets.

I am sure this wonder vehicle could be used as Ambulance for patient’s comfort since it can run smoothly even on Nagaland’s rough roads! “The rocky and hilly paths of the region are the best to see Polaris vehicles in action” (Eastern Mirror 22.02.2014).
