
MOKOKCHUNG, MARCH 16 (MExN): Several organizations have expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. T. Senka Yaden, a renowned scientist, educator, and researcher known for his contributions to the field of science and education.
Dr Yaden, who was listed in the American Men and Women of Science and widely recognized as the “American Man of Science,” was praised for his dedication to knowledge and research. The AKM, in a statement, described his achievements as an “indelible mark, inspiring generations.”
“His remarkable academic journey and professional achievements reflect his dedication and hard work,” the AKM stated. “His loss is deeply felt not only by his family and loved ones but also by the Scientific and Academic Community.”
Ao Senden also mourned his passing, stating that it was “a sad day” as Yaden, “a humble but dynamic man of vision and a dedicated leader, who surpassed and excelled in life through his own diligence,” had passed away. “He lived and led by example in his extraordinary life as a true-blooded Ao Naga. His academic achievements are true testaments of his wisdom and intelligence,” Ao Senden said.
To honor his memory, the AKM has requested that “all the School and Educational Institution under the jurisdiction of Mokokchung District to kindly observe one minute of silence on 17th March 2025, as a mark of respect and remembrance for his valuable contribution towards the people.” Ao Senden has declared March 17 a day of mourning “as a mark of our respect and honour to the great person.”
Both organizations extended their condolences to Yaden’s family, with the AKM stating, “In this time of grief, AKM extends our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, his wife, and all those mourning his departure. We pray that God grants them strength and solace in this difficult time.”
“We pray that in this hour of great loss to man and science the Almighty God shall grant peace and comfort to each and every one of us who are in mourning,” Ao Senden said.
Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) President and Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), S. Supongmeren Jamir, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Dr. Senkalong Yaden.
Describing Dr. Yaden as an accomplished scholar, a devoted family man, and a principled individual, Jamir stated that his demise is an irreparable loss not only to his family but also to numerous lives and communities in Nagaland and the United States.
On behalf of himself and the NPCC, Jamir extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved family during their time of grief. "May the soul of the departed rest in peace," he conveyed in his message.
The Naga National Council (NNC) also expressed deep sorrow over the passing of its former president, Dr. Senka Yaden.
The NNC (Parent Body) paid tribute to Dr. Yaden, describing him as an honest and noble figure, deeply respected by the Naga community in America and beyond. “We have indeed lost a great and learned leader. He will be profoundly remembered for his service to the Naga cause and for being an exemplary person,” the condolence message stated.
The NNC extended its deepest condolences to Dr. Yaden’s family, praying for his soul to rest in eternal peace.
