Dimapur, September 8 (MExN): Late Nchemo Lotha, a multi-faceted pioneer of the Lotha Nagas, was remembered on his 38th death anniversary in a simple ceremony at the late leader’s home.
The commemoration programme of the late leader, popularly known as N.L. Kinghen, was organized by the Kinghen Foundation, which was founded in memory of late Kinghen by his eight grandchildren, a press release received here informed.
One of N.L. Kinghen’s sons, David Kinghen, elaborating on the life story of his late father, narrated the struggles, endeavors, achievements and legacy of late Kinghen.
Yanchemo Tungoe, Yanchamo Ennei, Ramongo Mozhui and Shanbemo Ngullie also spoke on the occasion and recounted their experiences with the late legend.
A common refrain from the many who spoke on the occasion being, 'late NL Kinghen was a very vocal person but honest, diligent and full of determination towards working for the uplift of society'.
During the commemoration, a special prayer dedicated to the offspring of late Nchemo was performed by Rev. LK Tsanglao.
A tribute song, dedicated to the late legend, was performed by Steven Mozhui and friends. One of the great granddaughters also recited a poem.
