Law students interact with Addl DGP Rupin Sharma

Kohima, October 12 (MExN): Kohima Law College conducted an interaction session with Additional DGP Nagaland Rupin Sharma IPS on October 12 at the college premises.  

Rupin Sharma, during the interaction shared his experiences as an IPS officer and as a law graduate. He has also presented the importance of the rule of law in our society considering Administrative Law as one of his favourite law subjects, a release from Kezhokhoto Savi stated.  

He said that lawyers are on the front frame of freedom struggle for the country and activists for human rights. “Today, the lawyers can contribute so much in bringing change in many aspects,” he said.  

The students also raised several questions and issues.  

Answering on the issue of backdoor appointment, Sharma said that all the problems may not solved in one go but there is always a solution to the problem and firstly advertisement is the foremost so as to give opportunity to all eligible candidates so that the practices of fairness can be prevailed. “There is always a solution to problem and no problem should be left without attending to it,” he pointed.  

The programme was chaired by Kezhokhoto Savi, Professor-in-charge, Students’ Welfare, Kohima Law College.
