Peren, July 16 (MExN): The Liangmai Baptist Association (LBA) Men’s Department organised a one-day seminar on July 15 at Liangmai Baptist Church, Nkwareu, Peren District, under the leadership of LBA Men’s Secretary, Rev NK Joseph Zeliang.

The seminar featured Dr Albert M Chawang, Faculty, North East Christian University (NECU), Dimapur, and Amos Zeliang, Mission Secretary, LBA, as resource persons.

In his address, Dr Chawang spoke on the theme of leading a family with vision and direction rooted in biblical principles.

He emphasised the importance of understanding God's purpose for the family and aligning daily actions with biblical teachings.

Dr Chawang  also highlighted the role of prayer, collective Bible study, and applying biblical wisdom in fostering a shared sense of purpose and unity within families.

He also underscored the need for developing a family vision based on love, forgiveness, honesty, and service to one another. Further, he emphasised the role of parents in modelling desired behaviours, attitudes, and faith-based values.

In the second session, Zeliang spoke on the theme "Anchored in Christ and Standing Firm in Faith" and stated that it signifies a deep, unwavering reliance on Jesus Christ, where believers remain firmly rooted in God.

He emphasised that true security and strength come from a relationship with Christ, rather than worldly possessions or achievements.
Drawing parallels with an anchor that provides stability to a ship, Zeliang said that Christ provides stability and security for believers, fostering connectedness through faith, trust, and commitment.

As part of the programme, the LBA Men’s Department also organised a talent contest and distributed seed money to all churches under the Liangmai Baptist Association.
