Kohima, October 23 (MExN): The Women Department of the Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) held its 68th Triennial Conference from October 19 to 21 hosted by Kohima Lotha Baptist Church under the theme “Be rooted in Christian faith”.
The speakers of the conference were Rev Nyanchumo Lotha, Executive Secretary LBCA, Rev Mhathung Lotha, Sr Pastor (KLBC), Meribeni Ngullie, Women Secretary LBCA and Miss Lanvano Kithan, Women Evangelist, LBCA. The speakers challenged the congregation to be deeply rooted in their faith, that one should not be tossed to and fro, and carried about with every doctrine of men.
A 12-member of Team from the host Church led the praise and worship throughout the conference. On the last day, 122 women clad in colourful attires from the host Church handed down the flags from the stage to all the respective Church Leaders that triggered an emotional rhythm upon the whole congregation.
A new team of office bearers for the year 2018-2021 were also selected. Libeni Jami and Easther Kithan were selected as the chairperson and secretary respectively.
Major highlight of the conference include the daylong workshop on “The Challenges of Contemporary Christian Wife, and “A healthy Life-style & Progress.” A press release from the Multimedia Committee LBCA Women Conference informed that 803 delegates from 122 Lotha Baptist Churches across Nagaland attended the conference.
The next Conference will be held in Dimapur Lotha Baptist Church in 2021.
