Dimapur, May 27 (MExN): The Lotha Baptist Church Diphupar (LBCD) two-day golden jubilee celebration commenced at its church premises on May 27. It is held under the theme ‘Celebrating 50 years of God's faithfulness’, stated a DIPR report
Kohima Lotha Baptist Church Senior Pastor, Reverend Dr K Benri Lotha speaking on the theme said, ‘God's faithfulness is demonstrated by His power in and around us as LBCD celebrates 50 years of its existence.’ He reminded the gathering that “there is no power on earth greater than the Almighty God who is in control of our lives.” The Reverend encouraged the congregation to be faithful in all deeds justifying that God’s faithfulness was true to all generations and for which “we should give Him thanks and bless His Name.”
At the celebration programme, jubilee monolith was unveiled by LBCA Executive Secretary, Reverend Dr Ezamo Murry, jubilee hall was inaugurated by LBC Purana Bazaar, Senior Associate Pastor Reverend AK Jami, jubilee programme was inaugurated by LBC Bor-Lingri Pastor Reverend Y Arhonthung Odyuo. The celebration programme was unveiled by special presentation from CNY department.
One minute silent prayer was also observed during the programme which was presided over by Reverend Mhathung Lotha, scripture was read out by LBC Sethikima ‘C’ Pastor E Rhonbemo Odyuo.
At the programme, invocation was proposed by LBC Sovima Reverend W Yilobemo Lotha, welcome address was delivered by pastor, words of encouragement was delivered by NT Kikon, special number was presented by Jubilee Choir and LBC Chümoukedima choir. Later benediction was proposed by UBC, near district jail Pastor E Longshithung Kikon.
The jubilee celebration programme will culminate on May 28, with LBC Dimapur Pastor Reverend Zanao Mozhui as speaker for the devotional service and missionary One Challenge International India, ministry Reverend J Thungjamo Lotha as speaker in the evening session.
