Three couples took the vows in the mass marriage at Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur.
Dimapur, January 9: The Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur has long cherished to start the practice of mass marriage and the first effort was possible with two couples taking the vows on December 10, 2013. Positively, the following Mass Marriage witnessed a rise on response from the community by three couples taking the vows on January 7, 2014.
The intention for implementing the mass marriage is majorly twofold- to encourage young men and women to begin a Christian home with a lesser expenditure; and to ease people’s burden from attending too many marriages in a season.
The LBCD pastor in a press release stated that the Church is grateful to everyone for welcoming this positive change and to every couple who were willing to adhere to the Church’s initiation whereby conveying the message to all that it is truly possible to have a sacred marriage with a lesser expenditure.
