The Lotha Doctors Forum (LDF) provided free healthcare services to around 1,030 patients during a medical camp held at Dr Motsuo Memorial District Hospital, Wokha, on October 24, as part of its silver jubilee celebration.
More than 50 doctors, including specialists and super specialists from various medical disciplines across Nagaland, participated in the camp, offering free consultations, health screenings and medical care to patients from Wokha and neighbouring areas.
The camp covered a wide range of medical specialities, including paediatrics, general medicine, cardiology, radiology, neurosurgery, dentistry, gynaecology, paediatric surgery, ear, nose and throat (ENT), psychiatry, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, pathology and dermatology.

Patients from diverse backgrounds attended the camp to seek medical advice and treatment. Specialised consultations, including neurosurgery, were also made available, while minor surgical procedures were carried out during the programme. Among those who benefited were patients with mobility difficulties, including individuals who arrived in wheelchairs to access the services.
By bringing medical professionals from multiple disciplines together, the initiative sought to make specialised healthcare more accessible to people in Wokha and adjoining areas, reducing the need for patients to travel outside the district for certain medical consultations.
The four founding members of the Lotha Doctors Forum also participated in the camp, which was organised as part of the forum’s 25th anniversary observance.
Ahead of the programme, the LDF had invited residents of Wokha and neighbouring areas to avail themselves of the free medical services offered during the silver jubilee celebration.
