NEW DELHI, JULY 8 (MExN): Several leaders from Nagaland representing various political parties and civil society organisations (CSOs) were formally inducted into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party’s National Headquarters in New Delhi on July 7.
Following the induction ceremony, the newly inducted leaders, led by BJP Nagaland State President Benjamin Yepthomi, called on BJP National President JP Nadda at his official residence, informed a party statement.
Nadda welcomed them into the BJP family and expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the party’s presence and commitment to the people of Nagaland, it said.
The induction is seen as a significant step in the BJP’s ongoing outreach and organisational expansion in the North-East, particularly in Nagaland, as the party continues to garner support across diverse political and social sections, it added.
However, the statement did not provide further details about the individuals who joined the party.
