
Phek, April 11 (MExN): Neiba Kronu, MLA 16th Assembly Constituency, Pfütsero visited Lekromi village on April 10 and inaugurated the village monument, agri-link road (Thabu) and also declared Lekromi as a ‘Cardamom Village.’ The chief guest while appreciating the villagers praised their “intellectual prowess” and lauded them for producing many officers inspite of being a small village.
The MLA stressed that development does not come overnight but a lot of planning perseverance and time is needed to make our dreams a reality. He emphasized on the crucial role played by good communicable road for the development of all. Citing the three kinds of road connectivity, he said that firstly there come natural trails which allow the people to enjoy the scenic natural beauty of our pristine land and also attract tourist from outside the state for adventure sports as well as soak in the diverse flora and fauna of Nagaland. The second type of road is that connect our villages with other village, towns and cities. The third type of road is Agri/Horti link road which are the backbone of our rural economy.
On his part, the MLA assured to give his top priority for further improvement of road communication. He also highlighted the potential of tourism in Nagaland and especially in Pfütsero Sub-Division encouraging adventure sports like paragliding, trekking on hand experience of Naga rural life. Kronu also encouraged the women SHG to go for plantation of organic crops for livelihood.
A press release stated that BDO Pfutsero along Konyak also spoke about organic products. The function was chaired by Kewete Mero, VCC Lekromi, opening prayer was led by Rev. Kedoungulo Mero, welcome note by Wetsolo Kapfo and benediction was pronounced by Rev. Z. Mero.
