Konrad Annerud is making a name for himself with Leonardo DiCaprio’s face. The Swedish musician made waves after a local newspaper realized the resemblance between the 21-year-old and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio. Now, Annerud has his first modeling gig: a Ralph Lauren lookbook for Barneys New York.
The floppy-haired Instagram star, who recently signed a music deal with Universal, models the 2016 Spring Line, including a navy-blue pinstriped shirt and leather-trimmed jogger pants. “Even if all people talk about is the fact that I’m a look-alike, f--- those guys, I’m here in NYC modeling,” Annerud told Barneys.
He’s already been recognized twice for his looks, he said, but Annerud also wants to be known for his musical talents, which he compares to Michael Jackson. “He’s like Jesus to me. I have Michael Jackson right there,” he said of a large black-and-white portrait of the musician tattooed on Annerud’s upper arm. “This whole arm is going to be a smooth criminal theme.”
