Leprosy awareness campaign held

Zunheboto, February 11 (MExN): SPARSH Leprosy awareness campaign under National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP) was launched at CMO Office, Zunheboto on February 8. Dr K Akaho Sema, deputy CMO, Zunheboto launched the campaign. During the campaign programme, a review meeting was also held with all the staffs of NLEP under Zunheboto district.


Dr K Akaho Sema encouraged the staffs under NLEP to go for regular field visits so as to detect any missed out or hidden cases that maybe lying undetected in the community. He also emphasized for regular and quality monthly reporting. He motivated the staffs to come out with monthly activity plan to be undertaken during 2019-2020 at the earliest, a press release informed. Though leprosy has been eliminated from the country he asked the staffs not to be complacent in their work and challenge them to work with competitive spirit and deliver qualitative services for the community. Huzambo, NMS (NLEP) highlighted various activities carried out in the district.
