Leshemi, November 8 (MExN): The Leshemi Village Panchayat Hall and Leshemi Students’ Union Library Hall was inaugurated on November 4 by Neiba Kronu, Parliamentary Secretary of Planning & Co-ordination, Evaluation and Monitoring Cell & Taxes.
The chief guest in his inaugural speech extolled the rich cultural heritage of the Leshemi Village and counseled them to promote and uphold its unique identity. Stressing on the importance of honesty, he said, “simplicity and sincerity are the core of success which every sensible and concern citizen should endorse for a progressive society.”
He encouraged the villagers to focus more on human developments where the future prospects of the village depend on how we meticulously nurtured our younger generations. Furthermore, he urged the people not to be too enthused with petty politics rather concentrate more on hard work with sincerity and diligence. He also focused on the importance of tourism.
Razouvolie Dozo, Project Director, DRDA Phek emphasised on the importance of utilization of VDB funds. He encouraged the VDBs to have proper planning while preparing projects. This has been necessitated because any village developmental works are reflected through their project profiles. He encouraged the VDBs to be honest and sincere in management and executing their duties.
Mikha Lomi, Retd DC while exhorting encouraged the people to uphold the dignity of rich cultures and traditions which our forefathers have endowed in us. He further said that our cultures and traditions are fading away with modernity. One should live an exemplary life for younger generations.
