Let BJP rule the state: Visasolie Lhoungu

BJP Nagaland President, Visasolie Lhoungu today appealed to the public of Kiphire to work together and let BJP rule the state so that developmental policies, plans, and programmes of BJP are implemented in the State fully.  

Speaking at a public meeting at Hopongkyu Memorial Hall here, which was attended by the NGOs, GBs, party workers and district party officials, Visasolie in his effort to allay all doubts about the credentials of the party, said that the purpose of the BJP in the state was to bring positive changes. He explained that BJP’s developmental programme starts from the grassroots and therefore, the people should lend a hand to the party and to the party’s developmental efforts.  

Sharing his experience with the RSS and the misconception about BJP among the people, Visasolie said, RSS is working for national unity and is well disciplined and charitable. He stated that people and organization like RSS, “who are working for national unity and for humanity”, should not be simply blamed or branded and appealed to the gathering to appreciate the good work they are rendering for the progress of the country.  

With regard to the Naga political issue, the BJP President said, of all the governments that have ruled the state and the centre, it is only during BJP government that the uniqueness of Naga history is recognized and further attributed the signing of the Framework Agreement to the BJP government.

Maintaining that it is only after the signing of the Framework Agreement, peace is felt in Nagaland, he stated, “why not express gratefulness to the party which is trying to solve to Naga problem?” He further described it a breakthrough to the Naga political issue that the government admitted the issue as political and not law and order.  

State BJP spokesperson, Yanghose disclosed the programmes and projects of the party, where he mentioned that 99,000 crores has been earmarked for the North East states in BJP government budget to develop 88 districts in the region.  

James Vizo, BJP official, who also spoke on the occasion, said BJP government is allergic to corruption and called upon the members present to set up BJP government in the forthcoming general election.
