Tovihoto Ayemi inaugurating the Sema Tilla Colony Gate in Dimapur on January 21.

 

 

Dimapur, January 23 (MExN): The Sema Tilla Colony Gate in Dimapur was inaugurated by MLA & Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi in the presence of colony GBs, Council leaders, Church leaders and public of the colony on January 21.


During the programme, Ayemi called upon the colony people to continue upholding the same kind of support, cooperation and unity which they exhibited during the construction of the gate. He said the contributions made by many people towards the construction of the gate “reflected oneness and sense of belongingness,” while adding that the project would not have been successful without a common feeling of togetherness and unity.


As per a press release from Bokato Swu, PS to the Advisor, Ayemi further encouraged the gathering to preserve one’s culture and tradition as it was their identity.


“Society is a collection of individuals and we should live in unity and understand each other. Let there be more love and brotherhood” he added.


Ayemi said as a politician, he would continue to work for the people and take them towards progress and development no matter whether he receives bricks and bats or bouquets. He said he will work with a clear conscience for the people and appealed for support and cooperation of the people.


Report of the construction was read out by gate construction committee convenor, Hocto Aye. Vihoshe Kinimi GB, Sema Tilla pronounced the vote of thanks and Hekani Assumi, prayer convenor, Sema Tilla said the benediction. The programme was chaired by Vikato Zhimo, Chairman, Sema Tilla Council.
