Letter Mart: Weekly newsletter to bring positivity launched in Kohima

Morung Express News Kohima | August 7   Letter Mart, a weekly newsletter, hit the newspaper stands on August 7, Sunday. The inauguration was held on August 1 at Muodi Restaurant, Kohima.

"It is a people's newspaper in the sense that you'll get to see lots of different people taking part in different ways," said Kedushünuo Tetso, founder and editor of the Letter Mart. Currently the newsletter is run by a team of four young women, namely Viranu Ltu, Sedenuo Thaprü, Keyosano Sakhrie, and Tetso. The idea behind the newsletter came about with the social services that the young team had been providing. The team which also works with a group called AGAPE has been involved in charity works and voluntary services. During winter, the group would make hot tea or coffee and distribute it in the streets for free.   "We're a group of friends sharing similar visions and wanting to contribute our part to our society," mentioned Tetso, adding that the response towards their services had been really positive which made the young team realise that these services were not enough. The realisation led Tetso to start the weekly newspaper which will create a wider platform to provide positive messages to the people.   With a special focus on the youth in Nagaland and people who are passionate to take the society to another level, Letter Mart covers stories and features on social, cultural and educational issues.   Themed 'Generating Contentment', Letter Mart aims to bring positivity through writings and stories in print.
