LFHSS participates in National School Roll Ball Championship

Dimapur, February 14 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation Hr. Sec. School, Dimapur became the first school ever to represent Nagaland in a Roll Ball Championship.   The school took part in the 62nd National School Games Roll Ball Championship 2017 which was held at the Shivchatrapatti Sports Complex, Mahalunge-Balewadi in Pune, Maharashtra from January 27 to 31. The Championship was organized by the School Games Federation of India, Directorate of Sports & Youth Resources, Govt. of Maharashtra and Maharashtra Roll Ball Association.   The 8-member team was led by the Roll Ball Coaches from LFHSS, Madhav Nayak and Ramu Bordoloi and accompanied by team manager Vernon Fernandez, a press release from the school informed.   Roll Ball, invented in Pune in the year 2003, is a combination of Skating, Handball and Basketball and is recognized by the Indian Olympic Association. It was first introduced in Nagaland at LFHSS last year under the aegis of the Nagaland Roll Ball Association, the release added.
