LFI College conducts prog on research methodology

Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College conducted a faculty development programme on research methodology on October 22. It was attended by teaching faculty members of the various colleges of Nagaland and outside. 

LFI college in a press release stated that the resource person Prof Roshan Prakash S Potukuchi (Rao), Associate Professor & HoD, Department of English, Takshashila Mahavidyalaya, Amravati discussed on the importance of research being emphasized by the UGC for both faculty and students in higher education. 

This webinar will help the teachers as well as students for application, he said and explained on the different aspects of research and how it might vary from one discipline another and one school to another school. “Usage of research methodology will also depend on the area of interest one is willing to undertake and the reason why one wants to carry out the research,” he stated. 

“Qualitative research refers to research which focuses on collecting and analysing words (written or spoken) and textual data, whereas quantitative research focuses on measurement and testing using numerical data. Qualitative analysis can also focus on other “softer” data points, such as body language or visual elements,” Prof Roshan added.
