Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The Livingstone Foundation International College (LFIC), Dimapur organised two-day national seminar sponsored by Indian Council of Social Science Research, North East Regional Centre, Shillong under the theme ‘integrating skill development programs in higher education’ at LFIS Auditorium on February 10 and 11.
The seminar was coordinated on a blended mode allowing entrants to join offline and online. There were around 70 participants comprising of faculties and research scholars from different colleges and universities within and outside the state, a press release received here stated.
Eminent dignitaries from Academia, Social and Public Sectors were the theme speakers such as Prof Buno Liegise, Department of Education, Nagaland University, Dr Rokolhuii Keditsu, Associate Professor, Department of Horticulture, NU, Chiden Yaden, Director Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Government of Nagaland and Rozelle Mero, Social Entrepreneur and MD, The People Channel, Nagaland.
Altogether 11 research scholars representing university of Delhi, Central University of Kashmir, Pondicherry University and Nagaland University presented their papers.
The seminar keynote address was delivered by Prof B Panda, Honorary Director, ICSSR, NERC, Shillong.
The inaugural and valedictory programmes were graced by Prof Aleminla Ao, Pro Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University and Sashi Wapang Lanu, IRS, Additional Commissioner, Central GST Dimapur as guest of honour respectively.
