Kohima, October 12 (MExN): Lhisemia Students Union (LSU) 75th anniversary grand finale event will be held October 14 at the courtyard of TM GHSS/Kohima College. Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor for School Education & SCERT will grace the occasion as the chief guest.
As part of the year-long jubilant celebration, a commemorative souvenir will also be released.
During the function, welcome address will be delivered by Dzüvinguzo Mepfhuo, Convenor, Organizing Committee, and presidential address by LSU President, Dziesekhrietuo Khruomo. LSU Choir will present a choral performance, accompanied along with special songs by Menguseu Suokhrie and Visaleü Mepfhuo. Greetings will be delivered by Ayie Yhome, Chairman of Lhisemia Khel, and Vilalhou Sorhie, President, Kohima Village Students Union (KVSU). Tseivilie Miachieo, former president of LSU (1975-76), and Keneisevor Dzuvichu will also address the gathering.
Vote of thanks will be proposed by Dr Metuo Liezietsu and the programme will be compered by Neingusalie Khruomo and Neitseizonuo Liezietsu. Rev Keviyiekielie Linyu, Pastor, Ebenezer Baptist Church will invoke God's blessing and Keduoneituo Yhome, Pastor, Phezoucha Baptist Church will offer prayer for the Jubilee feast.
The main event will be followed by a Jubilee extravaganza.
The organising committee has requested the participation of all L Khel members to attend the event positively, while the students from Class-6 onwards are informed to come in their uniforms.
