Kohima, August 3 (MExN): The Lhisemia Youth Organization (LYO) condemned in the strongest term, the despicable act of rape committed by one Vishun Sahani on a 5 year old in New Secretariat area Kohima on July 24.
“LYO will not tolerate such incidents and hereby warns the culprit that if he is ever found in LYO jurisdiction again, he will face severe consequences,” according to a release issued by LYO president Khriesazo Liezietsu and general secretary Kekhrielelie Tseikha.
Further, the LYO warned guarantors to be careful not to randomly attest the ILP of labourers without any second thought.
“Stringent measures will be adopted to check ILP holders and their guarantors within LYO jurisdiction and both will be held equally accountable for any violation of rules,” the release stated.
LYO stated that it will also continue to enforce the standing order on prohibition of Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants (IBIs) from being engaged as manual labourers or domestic helpers, running business, plying taxi, renting houses, etc. within its jurisdiction.
In this connection, all the colonies under LYO jurisdiction have been informed to cooperate and report suspicious cases in the interest of public welfare and safety.
