Lift blanket ban on NCDC scheme, ANCSF appeals

Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The All Nagaland Co-Operative Societies Federation (ANCSF) has made an appeal to the authority concerned and the Government of Nagaland to lift the blanket ban imposed on NCDC scheme since 2000 by the Cabinet.  

“By banning such centrally sponsors scheme, create negative economy to the state and deprive the revenue of Primary Co-operative societies to venture out activities in different field as co-operative societies at this juncture,” stated a press release issued by ANCSF, General Secretary Administrative, Mohokiya Ghaponza.  

The federation also urged the Department of Co-operation, Government of Nagaland to expedite the ongoing Centrally Sponsors Scheme of Integrated Co-operative Development Project (ICDP) in “five” districts of the state which is remarkably giving better result of economy to the co-operative societies in the recent past conclusion of ICDP scheme in three districts.  

Meanwhile, ANCSF expressed appreciation to Lithrongla, G. Chishi LAS Secretary Co-operation, whose effort within 5 months of joining the concerned department has resulted in recovery of loans worth of Rs. 50.00 lakhs taken by primary co-operative societies section.  

In this regard, the federation also appealed all the 11 Districts of primary co-operative societies to co-operate with concerned department and expedite their recovery drive at the earliest and avail the latest scheme which is going to take place very soon.
