Kohima, February 26 (MExN): The Department of English, Nagaland University in collaboration with Cambridge University Press organised a teachers’ training workshop and Linguaskill Launch for the teachers of affiliated colleges of Nagaland University and research scholars for promotion of employability of the graduates on February 24.
The basic objective of the one-day workshop were developing Future-ready Talent for crafting tomorrow’s leaders through communicative skills, preparing graduates for the global stage with strong communicative skills to meet employer expectations and shaping the future of campus placements with enhanced communicative English.
Experts from Cambridge University Press, Kolkata Samir Prasad, Regional Manager and Tillotama Mukherjee, ELT Expert, CUP deliberated on the relevance of English language Skills and Linguaskill launch. Prof. G.T. Thong, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University inaugurated the workshop.
A total of 40 teachers and scholars from different institutions of Nagaland actively participated in this workshop. Prof N Das, Head, Department of English, Dr R Vasanthan, Associate Professor and Ambar Chatterjee, Cambridege University Press, Area Manager, Northeast India coordinated the workshop.
