Wokha, April 20 (DIPR): Advisor for Treasuries and Accounts, Labour and Employment, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship Dr. TM Lotha has inaugurated the link road from Elumyo to Pongitong on April 19.
Addressing the public during the inaugural function, he said road connectivity is important and necessary since it is the road that gives framework to all economic development. He also said that road is the lifeline of all activities and serves as the channel of all trade. While expressing his hope and scope of the road, he also thanked the department of RD and Land Resources for allotting funds for the construction of the link road.
Village functionaries and elders who spoke during the function thanked the Advisor for taking up the initiative. They assured to extend co-operation so that more of such developmental works can be brought about in the near future. The link road covering about 5 Km was constructed under MGNEREGA convergence fund (DRDA) and Land Resources department.
He was accompanied by DC, Wokha Wezope Kenye, EAC Athrong, Project Officer DRDA and host of other officials and party workers.
