Lions Club of Dimapur carries out community welfare activities

The Lions Club of Dimapur undertook series of community welfare activities.

DIMAPUR, JULY 3 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur, under the leadership of its newly inducted President Sanjay Jaiswal, undertook a series of service and social activities in early July, beginning with a Tree Plantation Project at the club premises.

The plantation drive was held in the presence of Vice District Governor-I (Elect) Neena Dutta.

As part of its community outreach, the club also installed welcome boards at the Dillai Nagaland Gate. Club Secretary Sumit Jain stated that the boards will be visible to all commuters and vehicles entering Nagaland via that route, serving as a warm gesture of hospitality.

The club further marked National Doctor's Day and National Chartered Accountants (CA) Day by felicitating several doctors and chartered accountants in their respective offices across the town. The felicitation programme was held under the chairmanship of Lion Jinender Jain.

Similarly, the newly formed Lions Club of Dimapur Elite officially commenced its service journey under the Lions International banner with two impactful community welfare initiatives.

The club’s first project involved the distribution of Lions-branded umbrellas to underprivileged individuals to provide relief during harsh weather conditions. The drive was led by Chairperson Lion Mridula Agarwal and Co-Chairperson Lion Maya Jain.

In its second initiative, the club marked National Doctor’s Day by felicitating a local healthcare professional with a token of appreciation and gratitude. The programme was spearheaded by Chairperson Kajal Jain and Co-Chairperson Punam Jain.

The events were graced by First Vice District Governor Neena Dutta, GST Coordinator Neeta Agarwal, and Region Chairperson Sumita Sharma, lending support and encouragement to the club’s debut efforts.

The leadership of the Lions Club of Dimapur Elite includes Charter President Meena Sethi, Charter Secretary Prernaa Maheswarri, and Charter Treasurer Sakchi Jain.
