Literary competition on ‘millet cultivation in Nagaland’

Kohima, September 1 (MExN): State level literary competition was organized by Youth Resources & Sports, Government of Nagaland at Don Bosco College, Kohima on September 1. Altogether 21 participants from various districts of Nagaland competed on the subject matter of ‘Millet Cultivation in Nagaland.’ 

The first prize was bagged by Sungpha P Phom (Niuland), second prize by Nzanmongi (Wokha) and third prize by Angon P (Mon). The consolation prize winners were Vekhruto Nienu (Phek), Wezeu Lohe (Dimapur), Mucham Rebecca (Noklak) and Nzanthung Ezung (Chümoukedima).

The opening function was graced by Anthony Ngully, NCS Secretary to the Government of Nagaland Youth Resources and Sports, and the valedictory by Wezope Kenye, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary to the Government of Nagaland. 

The panel of judges for the competition were Rhosietho Nguori,  Additional Deputy Commissioner,  Kohima; Khrieseno Kikhi,  Deputy Director Directorate of Agriculture,  Kohima and Vikhotuo Sekhose,  Entrepreneur. 

The examiner of the competition was Dr Imliangla Tseikha, Agriculture Officer.
