Student participants with the judges and others during the Little Star Hr Secondary School freshers’ day held on June 29.
Dimapur, July 4 (MExN): Little Star Hr Secondary School (LSHSS), Dimapur celebrated its freshers’ day on June 29 last. LSHSS Principal, Christina Neikhrienuo gave the welcome address. She emphasised the importance of fresh starts and new beginnings.
PV Francis, Hostel Superintendent said the invocation. Mhashevo Vero of class 12B Science moderated the programme, while Imrongtula Jamir and Vinou N Aye of class 12A Science were the comperes. Hosts of the ethnic wear round were Alovi 12A Arts and Imkumtila of 12C Arts.
A press release received here stated that the freshers showcased a stunning array of both traditional and contemporary ethnic wear of their choice from different regions and cultures, exhibiting the rich diversity of the world. The programme that followed featured a variety of performances, including songs, dances, piano recital, band performance and a special performance by Lolentssa Kithan, Star Talent 2023.
The judges for the event included Benisha Keppen, Principal, Rincho Academy, Sovima and Publicity Secretary, ANPSA Central, PJ Nathan, Principal, Hebron Hr Sec School, Sovima and General Secretary, ANPSA Central, Vizo Putsure, Entrepreneur, Green Gold Designs, Helen Jamir, Assistant Teacher English, LSHSS and Imlitemsu, Assistant Teacher S.Sc LSHSS.
Limnuker Jamir and Imkongsenla Longkumer were crowned Mr & Miss Fresher 2024 respectively. The Runners-up were adjudged to Mharenthung Khuvung and Grace Thejanuo Sekhose. The other title winners included: Mr. Ethnic Wear-Imnanokden N Yaden; Miss Ethnic Wear-Elita A Sangtam; Mr. Congeniality-Esalong Pongen; Miss Congeniality-Tiamongla Longkumer; Star Talent: Thsanci.
The event concluded with closing address and benediction by Nini Sekhose, Chairman LSHSS.
