Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): As part of its weeklong ‘Charity Week’ from June 5 to 10, students of Little Star Higher Secondary School (LSHSS), Dimapur visited Government Primary School, Vitho Khel, Sovima and also Government Primary School, Lengrijan on June 10.

The Sovima Village Council (SVC) in a press release acknowledged the school for reaching out to the less-privileged students of GPS, Vitho Khel, Sovima by distributing food grains and stationery items to the students.

“We are privileged to be part of your weeklong Charity Week where your students have generously contributed various items to their fellow students. Your altruism has opened our eyes to the fact that not everyone is as fortunate as those of us who have adequate resources and that it is our bounden duty to share the little that we can spare with the less-privileged,” the SVC stated. 

A team of 40 from LSHSS also visited GPS Lengrijan under the ‘Charity Week’ project on June 10. Items were donated by the students, teachers and parents of LSHSS were distributed among the students in the presence of Lengrijan Village Council and School Management Committee members. Some of the items included stationary, rice, biscuits, and tea leaves, sugar, chocolate, kholar, cooking oil, milk, juice etc.
