Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur organised a felicitation ceremony for the successful outgoing students of Class X and Class XII who had cleared the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2024.

Dimapur, May 3 (MExN): Little Star Higher Secondary School, Dimapur organised a felicitation ceremony in the School Hall for the successful outgoing students of Class X and Class XII who had cleared the HSLC and HSSLC Examination 2024.
During the programme held on May 3, the rank holders of both HSSLC and HSLC were felicitated with certificates and cash prizes by the school. A total of 42 students scoring 80% and above in HSLC, 18 students (Arts stream), 12 students (Science stream) were awarded with Certificates of Excellence.
Teachers were felicitated with Vihutuo Excellence in Teaching Award where they were given cash awards to encourage and appreciate the teachers for their hard work, stated a press release received here.
The speech on behalf of HSSLC Arts and Science stream rank holders and achievers was given by Kethozeno Khate-Rank 5 HSSLC (Arts) and Temjenlemla Longkumer-Rank 7 HSSLC (Science). The speech on behalf of HSLC Rank Holders was given by Eliyani R Ovung-HSLC Rank 8 and Imkongsenla Longkumer-HSLC Rank 17.
The students, in their speech, thanked their parents and expressed their deep sense of gratitude towards the dedication shown by the school authorities and the teachers in educating them, the release stated.
The Principal also gave a summary of the school results.
Earlier, the function was chaired by Temsulemla, English Faculty, LSHSS. Imnajungla, Supervisor of Higher Secondary (Arts stream) invoked God’s presence, followed by the School Anthem, sung by the Higher Secondary students. The Class 10 students presented welcome song and Class 10 & 12 girls performed a choreography.
The programme concluded with closing remarks and benediction by the Chairman, LSHSS. She mentioned ‘time’ as the most important asset of an institution, and advised teachers and students to use time wisely. Time and opportunity cannot be brought back once it is gone. She appreciated the students, teachers and parents who were attending this happy occasion today as a result of their hard work and wise decisions. She also reminisced on the founder of the school, late Sir P Paira, whose vision has led to the success of the school.
