‘Live in eternal newness’: Youth awakening conference held

Wokha, July 22 (MExN): The Youth Ministry of Lotha Baptist Ekhümkho Sanrhyutsü (Lotha Baptist Churches Association) organized a youth awakening conference on July 7-9 at Meshanpen village under the theme, ‘Live in eternal newness.’

Hosted by the Meshanpen Baptist Church, youth leaders from the Baptist churches of 26 villages of middle range in Wokha district attended the conference, informed a press release from Jenibemo Kithan, Youth Secretary, Youth Ministry, LBES.   During the three-day conference, the worship was led by the youth department of Pangti Baptist Church. The speakers for the conference, the Pastor of Wokha Village Baptist Church, O. Thungben Kikon and the Associate Pastor of Dimapur Lotha Baptist Church, K. Thenjamo Tsanglao, spoke on various topics such as ‘Taste and see that the Lord is good’, ‘God’s goodness produces a new way of life’, and ‘Live in His will and ways.’  

The Bible study on Sin and Salvation was led by the Associate Pastor of UBC Doyang, T. Rolen Ngullie. Practical sessions on health awareness was presented by Dr. Meribeni Odyuo, DNO, NTCP Wokha, while a worship leader Ringo Odyuo presented on how to lead praise and worship effectively.  

The Youth Secretary of Youth ministry, LBES, Jenibemo Kithan gave a presentation on ‘Clean Election’, and later a pledge was made by the campers to advocate Clean Election.  

The conference came to an end with a consecratory service led by Rev. Zaremo Tsanglao, Pastor of Lotsu Baptist Church, wherein campers holding lit candles re-dedicated their lives to serve God and His kingdom.
