
DIMAPUR, MARCH 10 (MExN): The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has decided to back the ruling PDA government’s consensus candidate for the Nagaland Parliamentary seat in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. According to a press release from the Nagaland unit of the LJP (RV), the decision was taken in consultation with the party’s top leadership led by President Chirag Paswan and its northeast incharge, in line with the party’s association with the NDA at the Centre and NEDA in the northeast.
The release was signed by the party’s state President Richard Humtsoe and its two MLAs, Naiba Konyak and Dr Sukhato A Sema.
On March 2, the NDPP declared Dr Chumben Murry, a former state Minister, as its candidate to the Lok Sabha as part of its poll arrangement with its alliance partner, BJP.
The LJP (RV)’s media cell, in a separate press release, informed that its Youths Affairs wing has started enrolment drive across Nagaland. It appealed all the district, block and sub-unit President to coordinate.
