Mokokchung, April 22 (MExN): The Langpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang Clean Election Campaign Committee (LKM CECC) held a joint consultative meeting with leaders of all political parties from Langpangkong range on April 22 at Hotel Metsuben, Mokokchung.
A press release from the LKM CECC informed that the meeting thoroughly deliberated on measures relating to Clean Election issues and its objectives in ensuring good governance in the state by holding free and fair election. The meeting also reviewed and reaffirmed for successful implementation of “Chuchuyimlang Resolution” on clean election adopted on September 3, 2016.
The meeting resolved to support the Clean Election movement and cooperate with the LKMCECC in its endeavour to cleanse the mess of the election and ensure free and fair election in Langpangkong area in particular.
The meeting further appreciated the effort of the LKMCECC on Clean Election and proposed to have another joint consultative meeting with all the respective leaders of political parties, present members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly from Langpangkong range, concerned village council members and church leaders at the earliest, the release informed.
The meeting also mooted an idea to constitute Party Fund Raising Committee in all the respective assembly constituencies under Langpangkong range to raise funds for respective political party/Independent candidates during election as a preventive measure to check electoral corruptions.
