The Chief Medical Officer, Kiphire office today distributed Long Lasting Insecticide Net to Kiphire village after the launching programme held at Kiphire Village Council Hall with Dr Tinojungshi Chang ADC Kiphire as special guest. Speaking at the inaugural programme, Dr Tino asked the villagers to keep ones surrounding clean so that diseases and sickness could be avoided. He also said that providing LLIN by the department is a step towards healthy living and asked the villagers to make judicious use of it.
The chief guest handed over the first LLIN to Head GB of Kiphire Village and to the chairman and secretary of the village.
Dr H Kumar, DVBO, NVBDCP Kiphire said that the product is incorporated with fiber, which can kill the mosquito and insects and will last for 5 years without washing or for washing 20 times. He also said that LLIN is safe for pregnant women as well as for babies and advice to use while sleeping inside or outside. He also advised to keep LLIN in clean place if not in use.
Dr Tinurenla AO Dy CMO Kiphire chaired the programme while Zhokuve proposed vote of thanks.
